Great American Group Advisory & Valuation Services, LLC, is a leading provider of asset disposition solutions and valuation and appraisal services to a wide range of retail, wholesale and industrial clients, as well as lenders, capital providers, private equity investors and professional service firms.

POSITION SCOPE: Primary duty is to manage the completion of three to four appraisal projects per month. Ensures timely, accurate and high quality completion of inventory appraisals. Analyzes and interprets financial trends and data. Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with company management. Provides excellent customer service to clients and BDOs. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in management of projects. Duties have a significant financial impact of potentially hundreds of millions of dollars on client companies and lending institutions, as well materially impact the profitability of the appraisal group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage all aspects of three to four appraisal projects per month
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment, and works independently related the following job duties:
  • Plans projects and use of resources
  • Negotiates project timelines with subject companies and client banks
  • Accountable for project budget and timeline
  • Performs management interviews and site visits
  • Coordinates and arranges initial conference calls and meetings with banks, clients, and consultants
  • Directs and manages field consultants
  • Maintains and manages effective relationships with companies and banks throughout the appraisal process
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data and reports on findings
  • Designs and prepares financial exhibits
  • Resolves issues regarding challenging data
  • Performs SKU analysis
  • Monitors open items
  • Reviews and identifies expenses
  • Develops initial appraisal values, which are crucial to the well being and profitability of Great American and its clients
  • Performs quality assurance review
  • Obtains signoff of values from senior members of management
  • Delivers findings to clients in person or via teleconference
  • Directs and manages financial analysts to assist in analysis when possible

 

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent required, graduate degree a plus
  • Minimum two years work-related experience or demonstrated ability to produce high quality financial analysis and perform deal management duties
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel operations
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficient computer skills to include, Microsoft Office applications, as well as other office software products in a Windows environment
  • Detail-oriented, able to effectively manage time, strong planning skills, and excellent analytical skill

  • Ability to function in high-pressure situations.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Clear, easy to understand telephone voice
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer
