For almost 30 years, Mike has served his institutional clients with a wide variety of fixed income products and services. He realizes that each client has unique investment and funding needs, depending upon the regulatory structure under which they operate, and works with them accordingly to develop and implement the proper strategies.
To be an effective partner, Mike takes the time to review a client's investment policy, current portfolio composition and deposit liability structure in order to provide the guidance and support necessary to reach their stated investment and deposit objectives. His experience has led him to the conclusion that trying to guess the future of interest rates is futile. Instead, simply creating a risk appropriate, high-quality laddered portfolio takes the guesswork out of investing and is effective through all interest rate cycles. He believes that
a client's ultimate success depends upon a well-organized and disciplined approach to managing their balance sheet.
Additionally, Mike has extensive experience working with both banks and credit unions to issue brokered deposits. He believes that it is important for financial institutions to access this market as a complement to their core deposits. By creating unique and effective funding structures, including the use of call options, issuing institutions can diversify their funding base while protecting themselves against extreme interest rate fluctuations.
Mike is a 1992 graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA where he received a B.A. in Accounting. He holds Series 7, 63, 65 and New Jersey Life and Health Producer licenses.
