Biography
Robert Mroz, ASA, CBA, CVA, MBA, is a Managing Director at B. Riley Advisory Services in its Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support practice, with over 38 years of experience in analyzing and valuing businesses, both from a forensic standpoint and on a prospective basis, and in preparing and evaluating claims for economic damages arising from various types of legal disputes. Robert's work typically involves the analysis of financial, business and accounting records in matters related to general litigation matters, as well as business valuation and forensic accounting investigations. Since 1986, Robert has been dedicated to helping attorneys and their clients navigate the legal environment in litigation matters, successfully presenting his findings in multiple forums. Prior experience in Robert's career included real estate industry and independent consulting experience.
Robert received his BA from the College of Arts & Sciences from Cornell University and his MBA in finance from what is now known as the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on Oahu. In addition, Robert also participated in the Transnational Business Curriculum of International Business Studies at the Pacific Asian Management Institute at the Shidler College of Business Administration, University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Robert maintains certifications in business valuation from three nationally recognized organizations and has significant experience in planning, performing and supervising complex valuation engagements for closely held businesses and partnerships across many industries for commercial litigation, dissenting shareholder, bankruptcy, solvency, divorce and other matters. Robert also has extensive experience in leading investigative accounting matters in criminal and commercial litigation matters. Robert has been retained to provide in-depth analyses of accounting records, including tracing analyses and rebuilding financial transactions. Efforts in these analyses include determining bank and other accounts used by the involved parties, identifying other potential accounts for review, requesting support documents that identify all aspects of a transaction, assisting counsel in requesting documents needed in the analysis and preparing a report of, and testifying to his findings. In addition, Robert has experience in general litigation and arbitration matters on multiple engagements, including environmental, mining and other commercial litigation matters.
