Tim Wood leads B. Riley's Information Technology group and is responsible for the company's IT applications and infrastructure. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in the financial industry, and was named the "Best Sell-Side Technology Executive" in the 2014 American Financial Technology Awards. Wood joined B. Riley with its acquisition of FBR & Co. in 2017 where he was the CIO.
Prior to FBR, Wood held roles at UBS Investment Bank and CIBC World Markets leading IT teams for Distribution & Research, Equities Program Trading, Fixed Income Sales & Research, and Credit Derivatives among other business areas.
He has a B.A. in Physics, Economics & French from Duke University and an M.S. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
