Biography
Shevi Smith is an Associate Director in the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining GlassRatner (now doing business as B. Riley Advisory Services) in November 2015, she was a research analyst at Chasing Value Asset Management in Santa Monica, CA. Since joining the firm, Shevi has worked for both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of industries involving complex disputes including matters related to forensic accounting and business fraud investigations.
Shevi's representative work assignments include:
- Assisted in the court-appointed financial review of a large estate of a musician with various complex businesses and licenses,
- Assisted in the financial damages calculation in a defamation trial on behalf of an actor and in the rebuttal calculation,
- Reconciling large datasets at the center of disputes in the financial services, construction, healthcare and government contracting industries
- Calculation of damages for various intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, copyright, trade secrets and trademark damages,
- Preparation of valuation reports in relation to shareholder and matrimonial disputes,
- Calculation of personal injury damages related to wrongful termination or wrongful death claims,
- Calculation of damages regarding various medical and legal malpractice cases.
In addition, Shevi serves on the Executive Committee of Bet Tzedek's New Leadership Council. She graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Applied Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles.
