We are seeking an experienced full time Analyst to work in our Arlington, VA office.

The Investment Banking Analyst will work closely with senior bankers to execute transactions and/or advisory assignments on behalf of the Firm’s clients.  The successful candidate will provide analytical, quantitative and process support for the team.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Plays key role in all areas related to prospective or live IB deals, including M&A and Capital Markets transactions, in addition to other financial advisory engagements
  2. Assists in the research and analysis of valuation materials including comparable company analysis, M&A transaction comps, premiums paid analysis, and other valuation metrics as appropriate
  3. Assists in the preparation of deal-related marketing materials including CIM’s, pitch books, and board presentations
  4. Develops and maintains complex financial models to perform valuation, financial and transactional analysis, including merger consequences (accretion / dilution, ROIC, ratings impact, covenant analysis, etc.), discounted cash flows, leveraged buyout, comparable trading and transaction analyses
  5. Participates in due diligence for potential and on-going transactions, which may include development of diligence request lists, collection of data, management of virtual data rooms, and analysis of materials
  6. Assists in developing and maintaining lists of potential buyers, potential clients, and potential investors as required
  7. Assists in the drafting of documents including, but not limited to, NDA’s, engagement letters, committee memos, email correspondence, etc.
  8. Communicates with clients, PE firms, investment banks, and other institutions as requested
  9. Manages several projects at once and works effectively as an individual and as part of various deal teams across the firm
  10. Perform other duties and ad hoc analyses as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business
  2. One to four years of Investment Banking experience or equivalent in private equity, corporate development and/or consulting
  3. Understanding of relevant financial, mathematical and accounting techniques
  4. Ability to analyze data and contribute to the definition of problems and creative solutions
  5. Strong analytical and modeling skills
  6. Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  7. Superior written and oral communication skills
  8. Strong work ethic and time management skills
  9. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  10. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), 63 and 79 required
