ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Support direct manager with completion of appraisal projects per guidelines of financial analyst role (see job description for details)
  • Analyzes exhibits to better understand financial results and uncover emerging trends
  • Completes the recovery model and reviews with manager
  • Expands external communication with client companies, BDOs and certain clients
  • Participates in training of new financial analysts and interns
  • Utilizes Project Manager+ (PM+) daily to track deal information, comparable deals, deal status, and hours worked per deal per GA guidelines
  • Increase travel on field visits with direct manager and perform distribution center visits independently as requested
  • Participates in planning of projects and use of resources
  • Discusses project timelines with subject companies and client banks and is accountable for on-time completion
  • Performs management interviews and site visits as needed; travel could represent 20% -25% per month
  • Builds, maintains and manages effective relationships and communication with our client companies and clients throughout the appraisal process
  • Ensures internal communication with the project team is effective and consistent throughout the process, keeping all members up to date including direct manager, writer, managing director and BDO.
  • Directs and manages field consultants
  • Ensures kickoff meetings and processes are adhered to and run according to GA guidelines
  • Learn and adhere to current USPAP guidelines for all appraisal engagements
  • Develops liquidation strategy and initial appraisal values, which are crucial to the well-being and profitability of GA and its clients
  • Performs quality assurance review
  • Obtains signoff of values from senior members of management and liquidation group
  • Delivers findings to clients in person or via teleconference

As the Financial Analyst 2 continues to grow in his/her role the following responsibilities will be added to their analyst support role at the direct manager’s discretion:

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment, and works under only general supervision related the following job duties or handling an appraisal:

  • Ability to become a project leader and lead their own appraisals
