Biography

Jasdev Singh is a Director with B. Riley Advisory Services in the New York restructuring and turnaround practice. His industry experience includes pharmaceuticals, senior care (including SNFs and CCRCs), retail, and energy.

Prior to joining B. Riley, Mr. Singh worked in the private credit industry where he focused on investments in commodities, energy and renewables, trade finance, and special situations. Mr. Singh gained expertise in structuring and managing bespoke investments, deal pricing structures, financial modeling and analysis, portfolio and risk management, performing due diligence, and reviewing legal agreements.

Mr. Singh has provided financial advisory services to companies out of court, as well as to debtors and creditor committees in Chapter 11 proceedings. He has assisted debtors and trustees in operational management and with post liquidation activities, including preference and fraudulent transfer analysis.

Mr. Singh's recent engagements include:

  • Provided debtor financial advisory services to a luxury retail fashion brand for an out-of-court restructuring. Performed company due diligence, reviewed financial and operational data to assist with the development of a restructuring plan. Worked with the advisory team to prepare liquidity analysis for cash flow model and first day motions and developed the creditor matrix.
  • Financial advisor to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 proceeding of a large pharmaceutical co-operative. Provided advisory support for preference analysis and fraudulent transfers, and prepared liquidity analyses. Assisted with post-liquidation trust activities including settlements, collection of receivables and certain taxation-related matters.
  • Financial advisor to a not-for-profit senior living community (CCRC). Responsible for liquidity monitoring and providing working capital support, preparing cash flow and professional fees analysis for the chapter 11 bond restructuring. Reviewed and analyzed multiple sales proposals from investment banks.

Mr. Singh is a member of Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and AIRA. He holds CFA Institute Investment Foundations and Investment Banking Financial Modeling certifications. Mr. Singh received Master's degree in Information Systems (Finance) from New York University and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from India.
