Biography
Jonathan ("Jon") Eargle is a Director in the South Florida practice and joined B. Riley Advisory Services (formerly GlassRatner) in 2017. Jonathan has 13 years of relevant experience and has provided services in multiple areas including complex commercial litigation support, bankruptcy & insolvency, turnaround & restructurings, and business valuation. Jonathan has extensive litigation support experience that includes expert witness, fact witness, and consulting services, and has assisted a multitude of professionals and organizations, including commercial litigation attorneys, bankruptcy attorneys, real estate attorneys, panel (bankruptcy) trustees, court appointed receivers, plan administrators, assignees, chief restructuring officers, chief liquidating officers, and secured lenders. He has also performed engagements for governmental agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, Florida State Attorney, and Boca Raton Police Department.
In 2024, Jonathan became a board member on the Florida Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), of which he also serves on the programming committee. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Southern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI).
Jonathan has a Bachelor's of Accounting from Georgia Southern University and a Master's of Accounting from Florida International University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of Florida, as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). Jonathan began his career in the advisory division of Marcum, LLP, a top-20 public accounting firm (now merged with CBIZ). When Jonathan isn't working, he enjoys time with his wife & dog, golfing, and cooking.
