Biography
Mr. Fuqua has 30 years of experience in corporate finance, capital markets, forensic accounting, crisis management, bankruptcy and providing fiduciary services to clients. Prior to joining GlassRatner (now doing business as B. Riley Advisory Services), he worked in corporate banking addressing the capital market needs of Fortune 500 companies and in financial planning for an international telecom company. At B. Riley he provides advisory and fiduciary services to both government agencies and corporations.
Mr. Fuqua provides services to corporate clients to assist with operational improvements, capital provider relationships, refinance of debts, preparation for a sale or merger transaction, as well as other corporate revitalization activities. These services involve rigorous financial and operational analysis that result in an actionable and measurable plan to accomplish the client's goal. He has successfully provided services in the manufacturing, publishing, retail, food processing and agriculture industries.
As an advisor in bankruptcy matters, Mr. Fuqua provides advisory services that include, but are not limited to: preparation of papers for filing, cash flow projections and reporting, liquidation analysis, analysis of cash disbursements to identify potential avoidable transactions and payments, financial analysis and support for litigation, and asset sales.
As a fiduciary, Mr. Fuqua has served as a Federal Equity Receiver for both corporations and government agencies and has served as a state court receiver as well. As Receiver, he is responsible for the preservation of value, asset recovery, liquidation of assets / sale of the receivership entity, claims analysis and distribution of proceeds claimants. He has served as Receiver in matters for the Federal Trade Commission and the Securities Exchange Commission.
Mr. Fuqua holds a A.B. in Economics and a MBA from Duke University.
