Biography
Ry joined B. Riley Advisory Services (formerly GlassRatner) in 2023 as a Director in the Dallas office. Prior to joining B. Riley Advisory Services, Ry held positions with Lateral Investment Management, a private equity firm based in California, and Sonoran Capital Advisors, a restructuring firm based in Arizona.
Overall, Ry has 8 years of combined experience in restructuring, finance, portfolio operations, private equity, and turnaround. His responsibilities at B. Riley include providing cash flow and financial modeling services, running sale processes, strategic and operational planning, and interfacing with company management, shareholders, and lenders to work towards solutions in complex and distressed situations.

- A medical technology SaaS company that filed Chapter 11. He created the 13-week cash flow model and assisted in running the sale process, resulting in a successful §363 sale.

- A group of European soccer clubs owned by a distressed $10 billion AUM private equity firm, where Ry built out the respective 13-week cash flow models.
- A non-distressed, publicly traded, private equity-backed healthcare company. He created a detailed 3-statement projections model and board member presentation materials used in obtaining $40 million in financing.
- A Puerto Rican airline that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy after being affected by Hurricane Maria. Ry created the 13-week cash flow and oversaw bankruptcy reporting, resulting in a successful §363 sale.
- A refrigerated trucking company in Salt Lake City where Ry helped assess operational viability outside of court. This resulted in a successful turnaround and uncovering of embezzlement.
- A subsidiary of an Italian aerospace company that filed Chapter 11, resulting in a successful plan of liquidation.
As a member of the portfolio operations team at Lateral Investment Management, he assisted in reporting, KPIs, building the 13-week cash flow, updating 3-statement financial modeling projections, and creating board meeting materials for an operational sawmill.
