Biography
Daniel Agauas joined B. Riley Advisory Services in July 2023 as part of the Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support practice in the Detroit and Grand Rapids offices. Daniel has 16 years of experience with economic damages analysis in connection with complex commercial disputes, business valuation, forensic accounting and financial fraud investigations, due diligence work involving buyer-side representation and warranty insurance policy claims, and other financial and accounting advisory services.
Daniel Agauas is a charterholder of the CFA designation and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Detroit Society. Daniel is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and a member of the American Society of Appraisers. His business valuation experience includes valuations for shareholder disputes, estate and gift tax purposes, mergers and acquisitions, divorces, and business planning. Daniel is proficient with multiple valuation methods: discounted cash flow analysis, capitalization of earnings method, guideline public company method, and comparable transaction analysis. Daniel is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) - West Michigan.
Prior to joining B. Riley Advisory Services, Daniel worked ten years at Crawford & Winiarski, a legacy firm of B. Riley, and six years at a global public accounting and consulting firm.
